I Will Not Go Quietly Into the Night!

From across the room I see you looking and wondering why I have come to this place, wishing that I would not be here disturbing you.

Most people do not give me the time of the day.  Most just, ignore me just because I look and act differently.  I know I am not perfect according to this world.  I am not the most beautiful person that you will ever see.  Yes, I sometimes need assistance to make it through most days.  I may never walk, or run like a normal child.  I may even look disfigured and flat out ugly to you but I do not care what the world thinks anymore.

 You tell me to go away and be quiet.  I am sorry but I cannot do that.  I was put on this earth for a higher purpose.  I am not stupid.  I have a voice.  It may be soft and not heard in a crowd but it will be heard when the time is right.

 You tell me that I do not belong here.  But, you are wrong.  I belong here.  You want me to go away quietly but I will not.  I will have to fight for every accomplishment in my life.  I will not go away; I will not quit.  You can call me names.  But, I will not go away and I will not quit.  You can beat me and kick me because you are bigger than I am physically.  But I will not go away and I will not quit.

 No, I will not go away, I will not stop fighting.  I am not a quitter.  If I cannot fight, I will have someone fight for me.  If they cannot fight, they will have others fight for them and we will not go away.  We will not stop fighting.  We are not quitters.  We are unstoppable!  We are loved by Christ the one who died for us!
